About the role
NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It’s a unique legacy of innovation that’s fueled by great technology, and amazing people. Today, we’re tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.
We’re looking for an outstanding business lawyer to join the NVIDIA legal team as Senior Counsel, Business Partnerships & Strategic Transactions. You’ll support NVIDIA’s strategic and consequential business relationships by structuring, negotiating, and closing the agreements behind the accelerated computing and AI infrastructure that power our products. You’ll partner closely with business leaders, fellow attorneys, and outside counsel on a diverse workstream that evolves with the company.
What you'll be doing:
• Draft, review, and negotiate business partnership and commercial agreements across NVIDIA’s global business: hardware, software licensing, reseller, distributor, partner programs, marketing, and government contracts.
• Collaborate with the business teams through complex deal cycles with sophisticated enterprise, cloud, public sector, and highly regulated customers, and among a diverse spectrum of industries and verticals.
• Build scalable legal infrastructure: playbooks, templates, and tools that enable business teams to move fast without sacrificing rigor.
• Assist with novel and technically complex transactions, translating cross-cutting legal issues into clear risk assessments that advance NVIDIA’s mission and goals.
What we need to see:
• 10+ years of legal experience supporting commercial contracting and customer engagements, in-house, at a law firm, or both.
• Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with experience handling hardware, software licensing, and public sector transactions.
• Track record of running point on high-value, non-standard transactions end-to-end, collaborating with internal stakeholders and keeping deals moving on demanding timelines while exercising sound judgment and seeking help when needed.
• Recognized as a trusted advisor to business leaders, known for turning complex legal issues into clear, practical risk guidance.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school; admitted to the bar and in good standing in the jurisdiction of hire, or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., registered in-house status).
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
• Energized to support deals that span practice areas and shift with NVIDIA’s business.
• Equally ready to support routine agreements as to lead first-of-its-kind deals and willing to pick up whatever the business needs.
• Background or genuine interest in government and public sector commercial work, including government procurement requirements and regulated-industry customers.
• Systems thinker who goes beyond the deal in front of them to build or improve the process for next time.
• Curious and low-ego: you ask questions, seek help from others, learn the technology and the business, and know the best answer can come from anyone and a self-starter who manages priorities with minimal direction and collaborates easily across functions and disciplines.
NVIDIA is one of the technology world’s most desirable employers! We have some of the most innovative and hardworking people in the world working for us, and if you're creative and collaborative,
