Job Description: Job Family Definition: Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Management Level Definition: Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others. What You'll Do: We are looking for a  Embedded Software Developer  with strong expertise in  Embedded Linux, C/C++ programming, and embedded systems development . The ideal candidate will develop high-performance software for networking platforms and collaborate closely with hardware and firmware teams. • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux-based systems. • Develop high-quality software using  C, C++ , and  Python  (intermediate proficiency). • Work on  Embedded Linux ,  RTOS , and  driver development . • Collaborate with hardware teams on software integration and system bring-up. • Debug, optimize, and enhance software performance and reliability. • Participate in code reviews, testing, and software design discussions. What You Need to Bring: • Strong experience in  Embedded Software Development . • Proficiency in  C and C++ . • Good understanding of  embedded systems architecture . • Intermediate proficiency in  Python . • Extensive knowledge of L2 protocols (VLAN, 802.1x, LAG, etc.) and  Ethernet  switching in Data path • Networking  protocols is preferred • MACsec  is an asset Preferred Background • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Experience developing embedded software for networking products is highly desirable.
