Point72 Academy Investment Analyst Program for Experienced Professionals — Greater China Point72 Academy is a full-time program for experienced investors looking to sharpen their research process, broaden their market perspective, and take the next step in their careers. Build the Next Stage of Your Investing Career We are looking for experienced analysts from finance firms in China to join the program in our Hong Kong office. Designed for investors who already have a strong foundation in fundamental research and deep knowledge of China equities, the program focuses on the transition to a rigorous long/short investment process. Participants will strengthen their ability to conduct deep fundamental research and translate research into actionable investment recommendations. You will combine your existing China market expertise with structured training, applied company work, practical coaching, and the resources of a global alternative investment firm with more than 20 years of experience investing in Asia. Upon successful completion of the program, you may be considered for a potential investment analyst role on a Point72 Fundamental Equities team, subject to business needs. Program Overview The program is expected to run approximately 4+ months, with timing tailored to the progression and needs of each cohort. The experience may combine structured classroom learning, applied company work, individual coaching, and rotations with investment teams and PMs to help participants translate training into real investment judgment. Participants will build on their China market experience through: • Advanced training in financial analysis, modeling, valuation, expectations, and short investing • Comprehensive compliance training • Applied research on China equities and investment thesis development • Differentiated research, corporate access, and investment research projects. • Practical exposure to PMs and investment teams through rotations and live investment work • Coaching from Point72’s Investment Professional Development team • Access to Point72’s global research, data, technology, AI tools, and broader investment platform Who Should Apply We are looking for experienced investors who have: • Experience conducting fundamental equity research at a long-only investment firm or hedge fund in China • Strong knowledge of China equities, companies, industries, and local market dynamics • A demonstrated ability to conduct independent fundamental research and financial analysis • An undergraduate or advanced degree in finance, economics, science, engineering, or a related discipline • Fluency in Mandarin and professional proficiency in English • Strong written and verbal communication skills • The ability to collaborate effectively while forming independent investment judgments • Intellectual curiosity, maturity, and a strong desire to develop as a long/short investor • A commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards About Point72 Point72 is a leading global alternative investment firm led by Steven A.
