About the role

By submitting your resume, you’re expressing interest in our 2027 RDSS (Research and Development Substitute Services) program. Please confirm your eligibility with the local district office before applying the role. NVIDIA’s invention of the GPU in 1999 fueled the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern deep learning — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company.” We're looking to grow our company and establish teams with the most thoughtful people in the world. Are you ready to change the next generation of computing? Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.  What you’ll be doing: • Support development of SBIOS / UEFI tools, debug workflows, release infrastructure, and automation for NVIDIA server platforms, based on the SBIOS and Client UEFI intern asks in Taiwan. • Help automate SBIOS issue resolution, bug triage, and failure analysis workflows. • Contribute to common toolsets that improve firmware development efficiency across server and adjacent platform workflows. • Work with engineers on BIOS / UEFI development, testing, and validation tasks for enterprise server products. • Assist with unit test automation, code coverage analysis, and firmware quality reporting. • Partner with firmware, hardware, validation, and security engineers to qualify features across the system software and firmware stack. What we need to see: • Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Strong programming skills in C/C++; Python is a plus. • Interest in low-level software, firmware, computer architecture, and server platforms. • Familiarity with BIOS / UEFI concepts, boot flows, or embedded firmware development. • Exposure to debugging in Linux or embedded environments. • Strong problem-solving skills and good written and verbal communication. Ways to stand out from the crowd: • Experience with BIOS / UEFI, bootloaders, embedded firmware, or platform bring-up. • Coursework or projects involving computer architecture, operating systems, or low-level systems programming. • Familiarity with interfaces such as I2C, SPI, PCIe, or JTAG. • Experience with firmware test automation, scripting, or CI-style tooling. • Hands-on work with server platforms, validation, or hardware/software integration.
