About the Opportunity
eBay Advertising is building a brand advertising business. You will be the strategic relationship owner overseeing a group of brand advertisers, responsible for driving campaign success, deepening partnerships, and growing revenue over time.
This role sits at the intersection of business development and client services. You will onboard new brand partners, manage their advertising programs end-to-end, and proactively find opportunities to expand their investment in eBay's platform. You are as comfortable pulling campaign data as you are presenting a strategic growth plan to a VP of Marketing.
This is a foundational hire for a team that is growing. You will help shape how we manage brand relationships at eBay and will be a bridge between our advertisers, our product team, and our go-to-market organization.
What You Will Accomplish
• Build and eventually lead a small, high-performing account management team
• Own the post-sale relationship for a portfolio of brand advertisers — serving as their primary point of contact and strategic advisor
• Build trusted, durable relationships with brand marketing, media, and agency counterparts
• Lead regular business reviews, performance readouts, and planning sessions with clients
• Proactively surface insights and recommendations that help brands get more out of their eBay investment
• Partner with Ad Ops and internal teams to ensure campaigns launch on time, and on budget
• Translate performance data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for both internal teams and customers
• Collaborate with Brand Sales to ensure a smooth handoff from deal close to campaign launch, and to surface expansion opportunities within existing accounts
• Serve as the voice of the brand advertiser internally — bringing client feedback, and feature requests into conversations with Product, Engineering, and Marketing
• Partner with the Brand Sales team on joint account strategies and new business pitches where existing relationships can open doors
• Contribute to the development of case studies, standard processes, and playbooks that help scale the team's approach
What You Will Bring
• 8-10 years of experience in account management, client success, or media partnerships within digital advertising, retail media, or a related field
• Proven track record to manage complex client relationships with multiple partners — from day-to-day campaign contacts to VP-level decision-makers
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable pulling data, interpreting campaign metrics, and presenting insights in a clear and compelling way
• Experience working with advertising products such as search, display, native, or sponsored listings (retail media experience is a strong plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage a portfolio of accounts simultaneously without dropping the ball
• Commercially minded — you understand that great account management drives revenue, and you approach your book of business accordingly
