US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the Role
We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers, develop a deep understanding of their businesses and workflows, and translate their operational needs into production-grade AI solutions.
This is a remote, United States-based role that combines software engineering, AI development, solution design, and customer engagement. You will work within customer environments as part of a small deployment team, owning the full technical lifecycle from defining the problem and building data pipelines to designing evaluations, deploying AI agents, and iterating against measurable goals. Travel to customer locations will be required as needed.
Responsibilities
• Work directly with enterprise customer teams to understand their businesses, operating environments, and workflows.
• Translate real operational needs into clearly defined, AI-driven solutions.
• Own the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and improvement of production-grade AI agents tailored to customer-specific problems.
• Build the data pipelines, integrations, and supporting systems required to deploy AI solutions within customer environments.
• Develop evaluation systems that measure agent performance and use the results to drive continued improvement.

• Identify and codify reusable engineering practices, agent patterns, and technical frameworks that can support future deployments.
• Translate lessons from customer deployments into actionable feedback for platform and product teams.
• Diagnose technical and operational challenges in customer environments and drive issues through resolution.
• Communicate technical decisions, progress, risks, and results clearly to customer stakeholders and internal teams.
About You
• You are a strong engineer who enjoys working directly with customers to solve complex, real-world problems.
• You can move fluidly between understanding a customer's broader business challenge and working through the technical details required to solve it.
• You are comfortable entering unfamiliar environments, learning quickly, and bringing structure to ambiguous problems.
• You take ownership of outcomes and remain accountable through implementation, deployment, and continued improvement.
