H-1B has no fixed salary bar: the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and area. Cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level. US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

You’ll own key workstreams across guest experience, front-of-house operations, agencies and vendors, production logistics, and event reporting, working closely with the enterprise events team. We’re looking for someone who is attentive to detail, calm under pressure, and thoughtful about hospitality for enterprise customers, prospective customers, business leaders, and senior partners. You’ll bring sound judgment and the ability to turn business objectives into well-run experiences that build relationships and help people understand how to use OpenAI’s technology. Coordinate with Design and Production to deliver a cohesive, on-brand experience. - Work with Security and other internal partners on safety and security procedures, accessible event operations, and contingency planning. - Review attendance, engagement, customer feedback, spend, and agreed business outcomes with program owners. Share findings that improve future programs and help assess return on investment. YOU MIGHT THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU - Bring 7+ years of event experience covering planning, onsite delivery, and post-event evaluation, with a strong background in B2B conferences, customer programs, or learning and enablement events. - Enjoy shaping the guest experience and coordinating front-of-house operations and vendors for business audiences, with the discretion and care needed to support executives and customers. - Care about OpenAI’s mission and enjoy helping business audiences explore practical uses of AI through events.
