US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role
About The Job
Navan is an all-in-one travel, corporate card, and expense management solution that eliminates the hassles of corporate travel & expense management while giving finance leaders real-time spend visibility and control.
The Frontend Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Navan's frontend infrastructure and developer experience across the organization. This role is central to architecting and maintaining the frontend platform that enables 20+ engineering teams to deploy independently while maintaining high quality standards. The Frontend Architect is essential to our mission, building shared libraries, developer tooling, and infrastructure, evolving the platform for both human and AI-assisted development, and driving performance and reliability initiatives.
What You'll Do
• Architect Micro-Frontend Infrastructure: Design and evolve micro-frontend platform using Module Federation in React & Angular. Create and maintain shared NPM packages enforcing consistency and patterns across the organization. Drive team collaboration through architectural governance, review processes, and cross-functional alignment.
• Drive Developer Platform Strategy: Create developer tools and automation that streamline workflows and boost productivity across engineering teams. Build repeatable AI-assisted workflows for frontend implementation, browser testing, debugging, framework migrations, and delivery—from a task specification to a validated pull request. Author technical documentation and mentor engineers through code reviews.
• Enable Reliable Coding Agent Workflows: Structure repositories, component libraries, documentation, and development environments so engineers and coding agents can reliably build, test, and extend the platform. Establish clear component contracts, runnable examples, predictable build and test commands, and reusable skills and integrations that provide relevant company context and actionable validation feedback.
• Establish Shared Patterns for AI-Powered Experiences: Partner with product and AI platform teams to establish shared UI patterns for AI-powered experiences, including streaming responses, progress visibility, cancellation, error recovery, and user approval of consequential actions. Design reusable components with clear contracts that reduce integration time across teams.
• Strengthen Testing and Validation: Establish fast, reliable feedback through component tests, browser automation, visual regression checks, and CI gates so changes can be validated consistently across teams. Define validation and human review requirements for AI-generated changes.
• Drive Adoption and Measurable Outcomes: Pilot new workflows with engineering teams, measure delivery time, escaped defects, reliability, and AI usage cost, and turn successful approaches into supported company standards. Verify that tools, integrations, and workflows operate successfully in the teams and environments where they are adopted.
• Partner on Secure AI-Assisted Development: Work with Security and the AI platform team to establish scoped tool access, safe handling of secrets and sensitive data, and clear accountability for agent-generated changes. Define appropriate human review and approval boundaries for frontend workflows.
• Drive Reliability & Performance: Lead optimization initiatives to reduce bundle size and costs. Spearhead framework migrations delivering critical security fixes. Implement performance monitoring and optimization strategies that reduce latency and improve load times.
What We're Looking For
• At least 8 years of experience in frontend software development
• At least 3 years of experience in frontend architecture with demonstrated organization-wide impact
• Deep expertise with React and TypeScript;
