Intensive Care Nurse - Band 5 & 6 - Coventry

Pulse Nursing is looking for skilled and experienced band 5 and 6 registered ITU (INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) nurses to join our team in Coventry. We offer various shift patterns, including full-time equivalent hours in Coventry, with competitive pay ranging from £20.00 to £30.70 per hour. Intensive Care Nurse responsibilities include: • Plan, implement and evaluate care • Assist patients with their activities of daily living • Regular assessment and monitoring of patient’s vital signs • Perform different types of observations and use of different monitoring systems • Use and ensure working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusions pumps, feeding pumps, monitors • Administer medication via different routes • Care for patient receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation • Recognize patient deterioration and timely escalation of care • Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives • Work as part of a team • Make appropriate referrals and Prepare patient for discharge or transfer • Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures. To be considered for this role you will need to have: • Valid NMC registration • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the ITU Sector • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment. • Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one. • Right to work within the UK – proof will be required.
