About the role
Lead the full SOUS sales organisation across the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa, and turn a fast-scaling team into a repeatable international revenue engine.
Full-time
About SOUS
SOUS exists to give independent restaurants the same acquisition-to-retention infrastructure that only chains and delivery platforms could previously afford. We build it as one connected data layer, replacing the fragmented stack most restaurants run today: a listings tool here, a separate storefront there, and no CRM at all.
Spotlight owns discovery, as search shifts from Google links to AI assistants recommending where to eat. Commerce owns the transaction and, critically, the guest relationship that marketplaces have been extracting for a decade. Every order through that owned channel generates data that sharpens the next cycle of visibility, personalisation and retention, compounding in the restaurant's favour instead of the platform's.
Our long-term bet is simple. As AI becomes the default interface for "where should I eat", the restaurants that own their guest data and their presence in that layer will keep the margin, and the ones still renting both from marketplaces will not. We are building the infrastructure to make the first outcome the default, not the exception.
We are a team of 27, working from our headquarters on the Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam city centre, and we are growing fast across the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa.
About the role
We are live in three markets, our sales team is growing month on month, and restaurant demand is moving faster than we can hire. This is the moment to take the wheel.
As Global Head of Sales you own new business revenue across every market. You lead our Sales Leads in the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa and the Account Executive teams below them, and you build the organisation that takes SOUS from a fast-growing startup to the category leader for independent hospitality. It is a senior role with full ownership, real equity and a direct line to the founders.
Your team
You join the commercial leadership team and report directly to our CCO and co-founder. The Sales Leads for the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa report to you, together with their Account Executive teams. You work side by side with the Growth Lead, Partnerships and Merchant Success to run one commercial engine from first touch to growing customer.
Tasks
Your focus
• Own global new business revenue and targets across the Netherlands, Germany and South Africa
• Lead, coach and grow the Sales Leads per market and their Account Executive teams
• Turn our outbound-first motion into a predictable, scalable playbook that works in every market
• Build the sales organisation for the next stage: structure, hiring, enablement and compensation plans
• Prepare and open new markets together with the founding team
Key responsibilities
• Set the global sales strategy, targets and forecast, and report on performance to the leadership team and board
• Run the weekly sales rhythm: pipeline reviews, deal reviews, forecasting and one-to-ones with every Sales Lead
• Design territories, segments (single outlet, multi-outlet and groups) and quota models that scale
• Hire and ramp Account Executives at pace, with a clear onboarding and certification programme
• Own the sales process and CRM discipline in HubSpot, together with Growth and Operations
• Personally lead strategic multi-outlet and group deals
• Build partner-sourced pipeline together with the Partnerships team
• Bring market and customer insight back into product, marketing and pricing decisions
Requirements
• 10+ years of B2B sales experience, of which at least 5 years leading sales teams, including managers of managers
• A proven track record of scaling
