About the role
Are you a builder who thrives in ambiguity, gets energy from talking to real users, and wants to turn emerging agentic AI capabilities into a product people actually rely on?
About JetBrains
We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.
What you’ll do
NoPressure is an early-stage startup within JetBrains' Innovation Hub. We started by using AI-powered simulations to help people practice high-stakes workplace conversations. Now, we're exploring how agentic AI and real-world context can provide personalized, moment-of-need practice and support at work.
We’re looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence / Product Lead to partner with our technical founder. This is a 0→1 role where you’ll define our vision and venture strategy. You’ll figure out who our ideal customer is, identify high-value use cases, and validate key hypotheses through rapid experimentation. Working alongside a small, fast-moving engineering team, you will shape both the product and how it gets to market, turning early signals into something organizations want to adopt.
Day to day, you will:
• Define the product and venture strategy, identifying key uncertainties and deciding what to test and build first.
• Conduct continuous customer discovery to understand real workplace workflows, pain points, and behaviors.
• Pinpoint the most compelling ideal customer profile (ICP) and initial use cases for growth.
• Design and run lightweight experiments, prototypes, and agentic experiences to test hypotheses before committing full engineering resources.
• Establish clear metrics and evaluate commercial and behavioral evidence to decide whether to iterate, double down, or pivot.
• Shape positioning, messaging, and early acquisition or sales motions to bring the product to initial customers.
• Monitor market shifts, emerging agent architectures, and competitor developments to uncover new opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with the technical founder and engineering team to move quickly from ideas to shipped prototypes.
What you’ll bring
• A builder mindset that favors quick prototypes and direct learning over waiting for perfect requirements.
• Deep curiosity about how people build new skills and navigate challenging interactions at work.
• Comfort operating with high autonomy, speed, and decision-making under uncertainty.
• Strong discovery skills that separate genuine demand and observed behavior from polite validation.
• Clear, direct communication skills for pitching to and working with senior decision-makers.
• Strong collaboration habits when partnering closely with engineering teams on AI-native products.
What you’ll need
• A Track record of taking products or ventures from initial ambiguity to launch and early market adoption.
• Hands-on experience building, launching, or experimenting with AI/agentic products or emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in early customer acquisition, founder-led sales, positioning, or commercialization.
• Experience in L&D, coaching, sales enablement, HR tech, or behavior-change products.
• The technical fluency required to evaluate agentic workflows and work directly alongside software engineers.
• End-to-end ownership experience across strategy, discovery, product development, and go-to-market strategy.
What success looks like
In this role, success means rapidly turning market ambiguity into actionable direction. You will establish a validated ideal customer profile and high-value use cases through real user evidence rather than assumptions. Yo
