We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Networking Specialist to join our team focused on software solutions for our VM Essentials customers. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing Data Plane layer of the Software Defined Networking (SDN) enhancements to VM Essentials customers in highly scalable, enterprise private cloud-based, distributed architectures.
What you’ll do:
• Design, and development of the HPE SDN Data Plane for VM Essentials, covering Layer 2/3 networking, distributed routing and switching, overlays, tunneling, and high-performance packet forwarding.
• Define scalable interfaces and programming models across configuration, control, and data planes for routes, next hops, interfaces, VRFs, bridge domains, MAC/IP entries, tunnels, multicast state, and related forwarding objects.
• Design state synchronization, reconciliation, reconnect, warm-restart, upgrade, and recovery mechanisms that preserve forwarding consistency and minimize traffic disruption.
