About the role
About the role
RELEX’s GTM AI team in Sales builds the AI our sellers use every day. We work across three areas. Salesforce holds the record and runs the sales motion. Claude is a primary surface on which our sellers work, utilising our plugins, skills and connectors. Around Salesforce and Claude sit the other applications sellers use, including applications built on RELEX’s own AI platform, Cortex. This role owns Claude and AI applications outside of Salesforce, and will be responsible for building the AI that RELEX's sellers work with every day. You’ll decide how it’s built and build it yourself as part of a team.
What you’ll own
Claude and other AI within the Sales division
• Its plugins, skills and connectors, how they’re organised by role, and how they’re released, supported, and retired.
• What Claude may read and change in Salesforce and related systems, as well as ensuring there are guardrails in place.
• Human-in-the-loop design: What runs autonomously, what requires human involvement, and designing AI use that sharpens seller judgment rather than flattening it.
• Context Portability: What sellers rely on lives in Salesforce and in maintained sources rather than inside an edge system or locally on a machine, so a change of tool doesn’t lead to context loss or significant change effort.
• How Claude and other AI models can be utilised within Sales and Sales Operations, from Claude Managed Agents and engineering workflows, to utilisation of emerging models (e.g. Jev).
Applications
• Sales’ applications outside Salesforce: Ownership and development of Cortex applications within Sales and self-built systems outside of Cortex, as well as consultation on other 3 rd party tools’ AI capabilities and how they contribute to the overall strategy and integrated ecosystem.
• How our AI connects to the systems around Salesforce, such as enrichment, intent data, engagement, call recording, content, quotes, and signatures.
• Sales’ voice with the AI Platform team: what Sales needs from the platform, and how Sales data reaches it with adequate security and user permissions.
Quality, safety , and value
• Ensuring RELEX’s AI data-handling policy is applied in your areas: what each AI may see, and under whose permissions.
• How prompts and models are tested before release.
Technical direction outside Salesforce
• Greenfield scope to build innovative AI applications for our Sales division, and the authority to lead its architecture and development.
• A visible seat at the table, providing technical leadership in your area.
• Keeping up to date with both Anthropic’s and the platform team’s roadmaps, proposing new capability when it serves a goal, and proposing retirements for what it replaces.
What you’ll bring
• At least five years of building software, with significant experience building AI applications or agents running in production.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript or Python. Experience with APIs, OAuth and identity, and webhooks, as well as Model Context Protocol.
• Experience integrating with a system of record, such as Salesforce, through its APIs and permission model.
• Hands-on experience with cloud hosting, covering deployment, secrets, and monitoring.
• Experience with data protection, e.g. permissions, data residency, and what an AI should and shouldn’t see.
• An understanding of how sellers work, and the instinct to keep people’s judgment where it adds value.
• Clear writing, e.g. for decision requests, definitions of done and documentation.
• A record of getting things done through teams you don’t manage, such as platform teams, IT, operations and sales leaders.
What we’d consider an advantage
• Experience with Claude plugins/skills/hooks, Claude Code, and Anthropic’s API or Agent SDK.
• Enough Sa
