The team designs, develops, tests, delivers, and operates advanced prototypes and unique laser systems for military ground, air, and space applications. Position is for a direct contributor with leadership responsibilities.   Roles & Responsibilities:   ·         The candidate shall be well versed in opto-mechanical engineering design principles and in technical problem solving. ·         Serve the program as a functional lead and integration engineer. ·         Support development of a variety of unique opto-mechanical equipment designed for camera and laser applications. This involves a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines so a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, and the design and production process is required to be successful. ·         Work closely with Chief Engineer and Program Management to drive the hardware design, working within challenging schedules. ·         Derive system level requirements into mechanical designs. ·         Drive continuous process improvements on fielded equipment and procedures ·         Provide engineering design and analysis guidance   Basic Qualifications:   ·         B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 8 years engineering experience, or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering plus 6 years engineering experience. ·         Proficient in the design of Optical-Mechanical systems ·         Proficiency in use of 3D CAD experience (NX, Solidworks, Creo preferred) ·         Experience with drawing creation and implementation of ANSI Y14.5M GD&T standards  ·         Experience leading and mentoring a team of junior mechanical engineers  ·         US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance   Preferred Qualifications:   ·         Experience with TeamCenter-Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar Configuration Management applications ·         Experience with Siemens NX ·         Experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred) for Structural, Thermal, and/or Co
