You'll work at the intersection of backend engineering, applied AI, and machine learning infrastructure, building reliable services that power customer experiences, data-driven decisions, and intelligent automation at scale. You'll collaborate with Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams to turn business problems into production-ready solutions. From designing distributed systems and APIs to integrating LLMs and supporting ML-powered capabilities, you'll help shape the architecture, reliability, and performance of systems serving customers across GoDaddy. What you'll get to do... • Design, develop, and operate scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, Java or similar technologies to support customer-facing applications, AI-powered experiences, and data-driven products. • Drive technical design and architecture decisions for reliable, maintainable, and highly available distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven applications. • Build and integrate AI-powered capabilities using LLMs, AI orchestration workflows, and model-serving services to enable intelligent automation and enhanced customer experiences. • Develop and maintain data and ML integration pipelines that support batch and real-time inference, feature consumption, and model-driven business capabilities. • Own end-to-end delivery of complex engineering initiatives, from solution design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support. • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and operational workflows to ensure reliable releases and efficient production operations. • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Business Analytics, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and measurable customer outcomes. • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing while promoting engineering best practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. Your experience should include... • 5+ years of experience building scalable distributed backend systems with strong proficiency in Java and TypeScript, including solid knowledge of REST API design, data modeling, and integration patterns. • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from planning through production. Demonstrated success navigating ambiguity, turning unclear requirements into actionable plans, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working with SQL databases and familiarity with data pipelines and data-driven architectures. • Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-based applications on AWS or Azure, including deployment, monitoring, reliability, and scalability. • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, databases, messaging systems, and asynchronous processing. • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerized applications, and production monitoring and alerting. • Experience integrating external services, data platforms, or ML models into backend applications and production workflows. • Proven abil
