US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

Job Description
The Senior Compliance Officer serves as a senior individual contributor and leadership resource within the MST Compliance Officer team, while reporting to the Compliance Officer Manager. The role provides experienced compliance oversight and regulatory guidance for mutual funds and exchange-traded funds regulated under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and applicable Securities and Exchange Commission requirements. This position leads complex and special projects, supports technology and automation initiatives designed to increase team efficiency, and provides structured mentorship and day-to-day guidance to junior Compliance Officers. The Senior Compliance Officer focuses on higher-risk reviews, issue resolution, and process improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist CCO with conducting ongoing, risk-based reviews and monitoring of investment adviser compliance programs, including compliance manuals, policies and procedures, regulatory reports, certifications, and other oversight materials; identify potential gaps, document conclusions, and escalate significant matters to the appropriate CCO.
• Assist the CCOs with planning and conducting annual adviser due diligence reviews, including risk assessment, document review, interview preparation, issue identification, written summaries, and follow-up tracking.
• Lead or provide senior-level support for adviser and service-provider onboarding and offboarding, quarterly adviser calls, recurring certifications, exception management, escalated concerns, and other material oversight activities.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of reviews, decisions, issues, and project outcomes; perform other complex compliance responsibilities and leadership assignments as directed by the Compliance Officer Manager or CCOs.
• Serve as a mentor and subject-matter resource for junior Compliance Officers, by providing practical guidance, reviewing work, reinforcing established standards, sharing knowledge, and supporting successful onboarding and continued development.
• Provide day-to-day leadership on assigned workstreams while reporting to the Compliance Officer Manager; coordinate activities, clarify expectations, monitor progress, and escalate staffing, performance, or material compliance matters to the manager or appropriate CCO.
• Take the lead on special projects that affect the Trust compliance program or broader team, including defining scope, organizing deliverables, coordinating stakeholders, identifying risks and dependencies, documenting decisions, and driving work through completion.
• Partner on technology-related projects that automate manual processes, improve data quality, strengthen documentation, and increase efficiency across the team. Assist with testing and implementation and help employees adopt new tools and workflows.
• Identify opportunities to shift appropriate recurring, tracking, and administrative activities to junior Compliance Officers; develop clear procedures, templates, job aids, or quality-control steps and provide oversight without duplicating the manager’s role.
