About the role

Your Mission: At VÆRIDION, our core development is the Microliner, our all-electric aircraft for nine passengers. As we develop and build the airborne battery system ourselves, we are now also bringing this proprietary technology to other platforms and partners. Our batteries are platform-agnostic and suitable for both civil and defence applications. Our first airborne battery pack technology partnership, a first commercial collaboration for defence applications, is an important step we have already accomplished. As Business Development Manager - Dual Use (all genders), you will drive both areas. You will lead Microliner aircraft sales with passenger and cargo operators, lessors and airlines. You will also build our dual-use battery business by winning technology partnerships with aerospace and defence manufacturers and shaping the commercial models behind them. You will work closely with the Chief Business Officer, the Commercial and Marketing Team and our engineers.   Your Day-to-Day: • Dual-use battery business • Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for our battery technology in civil, aerospace and defence applications. • Identify, approach and win technology partners such as aerospace and defence manufacturers. • Shape commercial models such as evaluation programmes, development agreements and supply contracts. • Translate customer requirements into clear inputs for our engineering teams, and bring our technical capabilities back into customer conversations. Microliner Sales • Lead sales campaigns, draft proposals, LOIs, MOUs and Sales & Purchase Agreements, and negotiate with customers. • Own and manage the B2B sales pipeline and the growing global order book. Team and company • Represent VÆRIDION at customer meetings and industry events. • Gather customer insights and relay them internally to align product development with customer needs.   Your Profile: • 7+ years of commercial experience in defence, aerospace or dual-use technology, ideally with an OEM, a Tier-1 supplier or a defence prime. • A track record of closing complex B2B deals with long sales cycles, including technology partnerships, development agreements and supply contracts. • Good knowledge of export control and compliance requirements for defence and dual-use business. • An established network among defence OEMs, system integrators and relevant institutions in Europe, ideally also internationally. • Experience in civil aviation or aircraft sales is a plus. • Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills, with an analytical and flexible mindset. • Hands-on mentality, empathy, attention to detail and integrity. • Willingness to travel. • Passion for electric aviation and battery technology. We recognize that women and other under-represented groups are often overlooked in our industry. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every listed qualification, we still encourage you to apply. Talent and potential can’t always be captured in a checklist.   Why us? • Be part of an ambitious team determined to shape the future of aviation. • We are an in-office company, but we value flexibility and trust employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work or adjusting hours to accommodate personal commitments. • Subsidized EGYM Wellpass membership: your (mental) health is important for us. • Enjoy a subsidized lunch with a 5€ company contribution per meal on office days. • Become a part of our success with virtual stock options. • Choose the option that suits your needs: either a free charging station for your electric car or a public transport job ticket as part of the Deutschlandticket. • Lease a high-quality bicycle or e-bike through our JobRad program and benefit from tax
