Senior Staff Engineer - Design Automation (CAD / EDA)

We are seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer – Methodology/Flow/EDA to develop, deploy and support CAD solutions in BackEnd for Digital Designs done in the company. This role is part of the global Methodology/CAD team.   Job Description • Propose, Develop and Successfully deploy CAD solutions in Chip Design domain across Renesas’s portfolio. Be proficient in developing and deploying EDA tools/flows with keen eye on end-user experience metric. • Own some part of the overall CAD solution and be responsible for WW engagement with customers. • Good understanding of Digital Implementation and Signoff Methodologies for MCU and HPC type of designs. • Hands-on in development & debug of AI/ML Technologies and with industry leading EDA tools in Digital Designs • Proactively engage with customers through regular follow-ups, in feature engineering, model development, demonstrate incremental and sufficient PPA, Productivity impact in chip design process. • Hands-on in mature software development practices, leading programming languages for AI/ML development tasks • Expected to work in a dynamic design environment • Prior collaboration with offshore/outsourcing partners and vendor escalation management • BTech/MTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 15+ years of experience in AI/ML software/model development and collaboration with design/EDA/CAD teams. • Proven experience in developing AI Agents, Agentic AI, GenAI and ML solutions. • Strong Programming and Scripting skills (Tcl, Perl, Python) for model/Agentic AI tool development on top of RTL to GDS digital design flow . • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving, teamwork, attention to detail, commitment to task, and quality focus • Can – do attitude, openness to new environment, people and culture • Ability to propose innovative and leading edge solutions • Strong drive & ability to coordinate work across highly experienced global teams Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose ‘ To Make Our Lives Easier .’ As the industry’s leading expert in embedded processing with unmatched quality and system-level know-how, we have evolved to provide scalable and comprehensive semiconductor solutions for automotive, industrial, infrastructure, and IoT industries based on the broadest product portfolio, including High Performance Computing, Embedded Processing, Analog & Connectivity, and Power.   With a diverse team of over 21,000 professionals in more than 30 countries, we continue to expand our boundaries to offer enhanced user experiences through digitalization and usher into a new era of innovation.
