About the role

Remote (worldwide) Freelance | ~60 hours/month We are an independent German digital marketing agency with proprietary technology. hurra.ai is our AI product, a growing platform that sits at the intersection of marketing intelligence and artificial intelligence. We are expanding the small, focused team building it. We are looking for an experienced freelance full-stack Django developer to join us on a part-time basis and contribute to the continued development of hurra.ai. Tasks • Build and extend features across the full stack of hurra.ai, working primarily in Django with a lightweight frontend layer using HTMX, Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS. • Integrate third-party APIs and AI services, including LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and OpenRouter, as well as marketing data sources. • Write clean, maintainable Python code and contribute to a well-structured, evolving codebase. • Work independently in a remote environment, manage your own workload, and communicate clearly with a small, senior team. • Bring your own ideas and experience to help shape how we build and improve the product. Requirements What you bring • 5 years of hands-on experience as a full-stack developer, preferably with Django as your primary framework. • Solid Python skills and a track record of building and shipping real products. • Experience building AI-powered products using LangChain, LangSmith, OpenAI, OpenRouter or Anthropic APIs. • Familiarity with Docker and confident Git workflow management. • A working style that combines pre-AI fundamentals with modern AI-assisted development. We use tools like Cursor, Codex and Claude Code, and we want to understand how you work with them. • Strong written and spoken English. Nice to have • Experience with GCP, Azure or CI/CD and DevOps pipelines. • Front-end and UI design sensibility. AI handles a lot of this, but a strong eye for design genuinely elevates the product. • German language skills would be an advantage. What you can expect • flexible, remote freelance engagement of around 60 hours per month. • A small, senior team with short decision-making paths and real ownership over what you build. • Work on a live, evolving AI product with a clear roadmap and genuine ambition. • The freedom to bring your own experience and ideas to the table. How to apply • A short video is a required part of our application process. • Please submit your CV together with a two-minute video recorded using Loom, your phone or any other tool, and include the link in your application. • In the video, tell us a little about yourself, why you are interested in this role, and how you currently work with AI tools day to day. We are not looking for a polished production. The video gives us an authentic first impression of who you are, how you think and how you communicate. • We are only able to consider applications that include both a CV and a video. English is our working language. German is a plus and we welcome applicants who speak both. Before applying, please take a moment to watch this short video: https://youtu.be/hgXrsasj1dA English is our working language. German is a plus, and we especially welcome candidates who speak both languages. We look forward to getting to know you! Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
