About the role
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
This is a strategic expansion role, based in our Wellington office, to carry forward and expand our most important public sector relationships. You will own and grow a portfolio of major exisiting public sector accounts, bringing fresh energy and strategic ambition to how these mission-critical agencies modernise their data and AI capabilities on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud to deliver better outcomes for New Zealanders
AS A PUBLIC SECTOR ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
- Own strategic account plans for major New Zealand named public sector accounts, including expanding multi-year, multi-million dollar relationships. Develop and execute account level expansion strategies, through mapping agency organisation structures, identifying new business units and workloads, and building executive sponsorship to grow Snowflake's footprint across the portfolio
- Act as a trusted, multi-threaded advisor to agency leadership and DCE-level stakeholders, aligning the Snowflake AI Data Cloud to each agency's mission, service delivery outcomes, and digital transformation roadmap.
- Drive adoption of Snowflake’s Cortex Code and Cowork capabilities to help the public sector move from data consolidation to AI-driven citizen and health outcomes.
- Navigate data sovereignty, security, and governance requirements that are central to NZ public sector procurement, positioning Snowflake's platform as the trusted foundation.
- Champion Snowflake cross agency data collaboration opportunities, helping agencies unlock value from shared data assets while meeting strict security and privacy requirements
- Build and execute a disciplined pipeline strategy, applying a structured sales methodology such as MEDDPICC to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder government procurement cycles.
- Partner closely with Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, Partners, and the broader public sector ecosystem of system integrators to accelerate customer value realisation.
- Forecast accurately and consistently achieve quota across your allocated strategic public sector accounts.
OUR IDEAL PUBLIC SECTOR ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE WILL HAVE:
- A demonstrated, consistent track record selling complex technical solutions (SaaS, Cloud, Data, or AI) into the public sector market, with the strategic maturity to own senior, high-value agency relationships.
- Ideally experience working with large Public Sector Agencies such as Health and ACC
- Strategic thinking about how to advance all of government outcomes and cross agency value
- Proven strategic engagement skills: the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments, challenge the status quo, and shape long-term, outcome-based agency roadmaps rather than transactional deals.
- A record of proactively growing and reinvigorating established accounts, expanding multi-year contracts and footprint within mission-critical public sector organisations.
- Fluency in New Zealand government procurement, including tenders, framework agreements, and multi-level approval processes.
- Experience
