About the role
This is Shiftbase
Every shift-based business starts with people who built something worth showing up for. Admin buries that work under schedules, timesheets, and WhatsApp threads. Shiftbase exists to take that admin away.
More than 8,000 shift businesses use Shiftbase to plan shifts, track hours, and manage leave. Every day, 250,000+ employees are scheduled in Shiftbase, in hospitality, retail, healthcare, logistics, and every other business that runs on shifts.
We're 85+ people, with our headquarters in Zoetermeer, a hub in Amsterdam, and an office in Berlin. Shiftbase started in the Netherlands, and Germany is now our fastest-growing market.
You own launches and the German market
You're joining the product marketing team to own two things.
The first is launches. Every quarter we ship features that help sales win deals and help customers get more out of Shiftbase. Your job is to form the narrative that connects these releases and brings them to life across our go-to-market work. You'll partner closely with product to manage rollouts, and plan and run each launch end to end: the story, achieving a commercial goal through campaigning and enablement, the web and help centre updates, and the training for sales and customer success.
The second is the German market. You're the voice in the product on how German businesses buy scheduling and time tracking software, what they compare us with, and which German rules shape the product, such as minijobs and working-time recording. Then you're the voice of the product in the market: our German sales and customer success teams come to you for the pitch, the answers to objections, and the material they use with prospects.
You work hands-on, embedded with product, and report to the Head of Product Marketing. We hire at mid-level, and the role grows into a senior one as you take on our biggest launches.
What you'll do
• Partner with product management from the moment a feature is an idea. You agree how big the launch is, what it has to achieve, and when and how it goes to market. You place each launch in our launch tiers, which set how much work each launch gets.
• Own the go-to-market plan for each launch: the positioning, the messages per market, the campaign, the launch date, and a named owner in every team, who knows what they deliver and by when.
• Partner with sales and customer success on every launch. You give them the pitch, the demo story, the objection answers, and a short training, in German and English.
• Own the core German sales material outside launches too: pitch decks, competitor comparisons and battlecards, and objection answers.
• Run continuous discovery with customers and prospects. You collect their objections and their words, and you bring them back to product while the feature is still being built. You sharpen your product and customer sense by being out in the field at customers, events, and trade shows.
• Coordinate the customer-facing documentation for smaller releases with our help centre team, so customers find out what changed and how to use it.
• Measure what each launch returned, and share the result with the teams that worked on it.
Your first year
• Month 1: You've spoken with at least 10 German customers and prospects, sat in on sales and customer success calls, and written down their objections in their own words. You've joined the launches already in flight.
• Month 3: German sales uses your rebuilt sales kit in live deals: the pitch deck, the competitor comparisons and battlecards, and the objection answers. With marketing and lifecycle, you've revised the German messaging on the homepage, the pricing page, and the trial emails, and it's live.
• Month 6: You own launches end to end. The first one is live, with a plan, a date, a trained sales team
