About the role
Want to be part of a collaborative team delivering reliable digital solutions that support thousands of passengers every day? We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to join our Check-in & Boarding team. We are a small, autonomous development team responsible for systems and applications supporting passenger check-in and boarding across Stena Line. Our team is responsible for the systems and applications used throughout the check-in and boarding process. This includes everything from passenger information and travel document checks to boarding cards and integrations with other systems. We work with business-critical solutions while continuously modernising our technical landscape and moving towards a more digital and self-service passenger journey. As a Fullstack Developer, you will work with both backend and frontend development and contribute throughout the development lifecycle - from architecture and design to implementation, testing and continuous improvement. We value developers who want to understand the problem, discuss different solutions and have an influence on how things are actually built. Some of your key responsibilities: - Develop and maintain applications and APIs related to check-in and boarding - Work across frontend and backend using technologies such as React, TypeScript, .NET and SQL - Design and develop integrations with other systems and external services - Develop new functionality based on business and user needs - Troubleshoot, maintain and improve existing business-critical applications - Contribute to architectural and technical decisions - Modernise and gradually replace parts of our legacy landscape What you will experience As a Stena Line employee in Sweden, we offer you an additional benefits package consisting of travel discounts, health allowance, well-being activities, access to a benefits portal, and much more. You are a curious and collaborative developer who enjoys working across the stack and taking responsibility for solutions from idea to production. You like to understand the problem before building the solution and enjoy discussing different approaches with the team. You care about quality and understand that delivering software is not only about writing code quickly, but about building solutions that are secure, scalable and maintainable. You see modern AI tools and coding agents as a natural part of software development and use them to work smarter, while applying your own technical judgement to the solutions they help produce. Qualifications: - Several years of professional software development experience, including C# and .NET - Experience with modern frontend development, preferably React and TypeScript - Experience building and consuming REST APIs, system integrations and event-driven systems - Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases - Experience with Git, CI/CD and modern development practices - Professional proficiency in Swedish and English Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes, modernising legacy applications, cloud development or business-critical systems is considered a plus.
