About the role
At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
Lyft is looking for a creator- and culture-obsessed Influencer Manager to build and own our influencer practice from the ground up. You’ll sit on the Social & Culture team and will be the owner of influencer at Lyft across critical initiatives. This role is for you if you can spot a viral creator on Monday, close the deal on Tuesday, then launch on Wednesday—and turn the relationship into something we can ignite again in a month.
You’ll work in close partnership with our Global Growth, Brand, Product Marketing, Legal, and Business Affairs teams, as well as our creator agency partners and production teams. You’ll also be Lyft’s go-to expert on creator work, building the playbook, setting the benchmarks, and helping teams across the company understand what great influencer marketing looks like and what it’s worth.
This role requires sharp talent instincts, real deal-making experience, a deep rolodex, and a creative strategic eye for the right influencers to really make campaigns pop.
Responsibilities:
• Own influencer process end-to-end (develop strategy, write briefs, own talent relationships, manage deliverables, oversee production, drive approvals, and manage deadlines for all influencer work)
• Own creator agency relationship for XFN support across key NNIs, including always-on and campaign programs
• Make the build-versus-agency call by campaign type, and keep in-house what needs Lyft judgment
• Build the repeatable process: intake, talent vetting, rate benchmarking, brief templates, and measurement standards for both organic and paid work
• Partner with Business Affairs and Legal on contracts, usage rights, exclusivity, and disclosure compliance
• Partner closely with the rest of the Social team on quick-turn projects that support evergreen content and business priorities, especially collab posts and anything landing on Lyft's owned channels
• Build talent relationships that carry across campaigns rather than restarting each time
• Level up marketers across the org — coach DRIs on what good influencer work looks like so quality doesn't vary by team
Experience:
• 5+ years in influencer marketing, creator strategy, or paid social, with real depth on both organic creator partnerships and paid influencer activations
• Has personally negotiated influencer deals and understands how rates move with usage, exclusivity, and whether content runs organic, boosted, or as an ad
• Has managed an agency and scaled its support across multiple internal teams — not just run one account
• Fluent in how influencer creative performs both on organic feeds and as an ad unit, and how each is measured
• Operates with autonomy in an undefined space: this is a new function, and the first year is as much about building the discipline as running the campaigns
• Strong judgment on talent — brand fit, audience authenticity, and risk
• Ability to scale and distill complex social concepts to cross-functional audiences
• Global/EMEA experience a plus
Benefits:
• Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolled
• Mental health benefits
• Family building benefits
• Child care and pet benefits
• 401(k) plan with company match to help save for your future
• In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
• 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Biological, adoptive, and foster parents are all eligible
• Subsidized commuter benefits
• Monthly Lyft credits and complimentary Lyft Pink membership
