About the role
About SANOVIO
SANOVIO makes buying and selling medical supplies easier. On our AI platform, hospitals, purchasing groups and suppliers work together in one place instead of juggling emails, Excel lists and disconnected systems. Hospitals can buy together, and suppliers reach that bundled demand more easily.
Our software, SANOVIO aOS, uses AI agents to take over the tedious work: cleaning up product data, comparing requests and offers, bundling demand and keeping orders on track. It connects to the systems our customers already use.
When needed, SANOVIO Fulfillment also takes care of the physical side: finding manufacturers worldwide, quality checks, financing, warehousing and delivery. The goal is simple: less admin work, and more time and money for patient care.
About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer , you are the bridge between our customers and our product, on both sides of the platform: healthcare providers and purchasing groups on one side, suppliers on the other. At its core, this role is about talking to customers . You work directly with procurement, logistics and IT teams, understand how they really work and make SANOVIO work inside their world: you connect our platform to their ERP, materials management and supplier systems , untangle their data and processes , and ship the solutions that make them successful.
This role is for builders who are just as comfortable in a customer workshop as in a code editor. Whether you studied business informatics, industrial engineering, computer science or mathematics , or bring experience in technical product management , product engineering or software engineering with a strong design sense : what matters is that you love solving messy real-world problems end to end. We hire for skills, not for degrees.
Tasks
• Talking to our customers every day: leading workshops with procurement managers, IT departments and suppliers, and being a trusted partner for our customers
• Owning customer implementations end to end , from kickoff and process analysis to go-live and continuous improvement
• Analyzing and redesigning procurement processes on both sides, from requisition and ordering at healthcare providers to order handling at suppliers, and uncovering optimization potential
• Designing, building and running integrations between SANOVIO and our customers' ERP systems (such as SAP), materials management and supplier systems
• Onboarding and harmonizing customer data (e.g. article master data, catalogs, order histories) and building robust data pipelines and mappings
• Configuring and extending our AI agents for customer-specific workflows such as data matching and order automation
• Prototyping and shipping customer-facing workflows, tools and dashboards with a strong focus on usability for non-technical users
• Bringing customer insights back into the product and turning recurring solutions into product features together with our engineering team and the founders
Communication and customer focus
• You enjoy talking to customers : you listen carefully, ask the right questions and explain technical topics in plain language
• Native-level German and very good English, so you can confidently lead conversations and workshops with our customers
• Confident with all kinds of stakeholders, from procurement managers to IT departments
• Willing to work on-site in Munich and to travel regularly to customers in Germany and Switzerland
General Profile
• Degree in Business Informatics (Wirtschaftsinformatik), Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen), Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar field. Skills matter more to us than your degree, so equivalent hands-on experience counts just as much
• Strong process understanding : you enjoy mapping, analyzing and improving busi
