About the role

Join SE3 Labs as a UI/UX Software Engineer Design and build intuitive, high-performance interfaces for autonomous systems, turning complex operational capabilities into software that people can use confidently in the real world. About SE3 SE3 Labs builds spatial intelligence and autonomy software for unmanned systems. We combine 3D computer vision, state estimation and AI to help autonomous platforms perceive their surroundings, know where they are and operate when GPS and other sensors become unreliable. Defence is a core application of our work today. We are growing to a team of 100+ people. Join at a stage where you can shape our future, help us build the team and grow your responsibilities as the company expands. Our founding team’s research has received more than 90,000 citations. You will work closely with technical founders and engineers with deep experience in computer vision and autonomous systems, turning that research depth into systems that work in the field About the Role As a UI/UX Software Engineer at SE3 Labs, you’ll take ownership of how our software looks, feels and performs. Your core challenge is to build one coherent interface system that works across many contexts: different devices, screen sizes, plugins and product features, from large command displays to small field devices with limited computing power. You’ll combine UX/UI design with hands-on front-end development, working closely with our software team. From integrating 3D visualisations to building interfaces for military personnel in the field, you’ll help shape a product from the ground up and see the direct impact of your work. What You’ll Work On • Coherent UI System & Front-End Architecture: Design and build a modular, well-structured front-end and a consistent design language that spans our whole product range. Make it easy to add new plugins and features, and to run on different systems and devices, without losing consistency or maintainability. • UX/UI Design & Implementation: Work with the team to understand user needs, design and wireframe interfaces, and turn them into working software. Own both the user experience and the code that brings it to life. • Multi-Device & Performance: Build interfaces that adapt across small screens, tablets and large displays, and stay responsive on resource-constrained hardware. Identify bottlenecks, optimise rendering and deliver a smooth experience without relying on high-end devices. • 3D Visualisation Integration: Integrate 3D visualisations into the user interface so that they work smoothly alongside other features, including on devices with limited computing resources. • Plugin & Feature Interfaces: Build reusable UI components for different plugins and product features, so that third parties and internal teams can extend the platform in a consistent way. • Usability for Operational Environments: Help design interfaces for military personnel working in demanding conditions. Consider intuitive workflows, clear information hierarchy and established conventions such as NATO symbology. Learn from real user feedback and improve continuously. • Collaboration & Product Evolution: Work closely with the software team to understand customer needs and translate them into design and engineering decisions. Help shape how the interface evolves as the product grows, and look for ways to simplify workflows and make new capabilities easier to understand. Your Profile • You enjoy building a coherent system rather than a single screen: one design language and one component structure that works across many plugins, systems and devices. • You bring hands-on experience designing and implementing user interfaces for software products, with a focus on intuitive, usable experiences across different devices and screen s
