This is a Hybrid (Bangalore) role, reporting to the VP, Site Reliability Engineering in the Engineering department. In this role, you will lead a team of Production Engineers responsible for the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of our global platform. You will provide the technical leadership and execution rigor to drive an automation-first and reliability-focused engineering culture. By maturing observability, operational readiness, and architectural standards, you will help reduce Mean Time to Mitigate (MTTM) and improve the resilience of a globally distributed, multi-cloud infrastructure protecting millions of users. What you’ll do (Role Expectations) • Lead and grow a team of Production Engineers responsible for the reliability, availability, and scalability of large-scale production services • Drive an automation-first culture by guiding the team to eliminate manual toil, improve workflows, and build resilient, self-healing tools and systems • Implement and mature observability practices, including monitoring, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, and error budgets to improve service health and operational decision-making • Lead high-severity incident response, strengthen response playbooks, and drive deep post-incident reviews that result in durable engineering improvements • Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to conduct operability reviews and influence architecture and service design for scale, resilience, and maintainability Who You Are (Success Profile) • Acts as an owner with an authentic passion for operational excellence and a strong bias for action, navigating seamlessly between high-level strategy and tactical execution. • Fosters a high-trust, collaborative environment that values transparent feedback, healthy debate, and shared team success above individual accolades. • Champions the customer experience by anchoring engineering decisions in solving critical, real-world problems for both internal stakeholders and external users. • Brings deep technical curiosity and an innovative mindset to solve complex architectural challenges, continuously seeking more resilient, automated, and scalable solutions. • Leads with unwavering integrity and high accountability, cultivating trust across organizations through transparent communication and consistent follow-through. What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) • Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain • 8+ years of experience managing reliability, scalability, and availability
