Food Technology Manager

Job Description As the Food Technology Manager, you will oversee the Food Safety program, including the validation of new products, product changes, and new and current processes/equipment across all Youfoodz product lines. You will ensure compliance with Australian food standards, manage raw material to finished product specifications, lead and mentor a team of 3 Food Technologists, and drive continuous improvement and quality initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Based in Karawatha, this role offers the exciting opportunity to lead our food technology operations and reports directly to the Head of Quality Assurance & Technical. You will… • Oversee the Food Safety program, including product and process/equipment validations • Lead and mentor a team of 3 Food Technologists, managing rosters and team development • Review and approve raw material, component, and finished product specifications • Ensure accurate creation, review, and approval of label information and NIPs in compliance with FSANZ and legal standards • Facilitate Food Safety requirements within the Menu Development (NPD) process • Lead Quality Squad and continuous improvement activities to improve quality metrics • Coordinate with QA regarding HACCP reviews and process/procedure updates for new products • Monitor regulatory changes via Food Legal and FSANZ subscriptions You have/are… • Tertiary degree in Food Science or Technology • Minimum 5 years of food industry experience in a Food Technology role • Minimum 2 years of experience leading technical teams • Sound knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems, HACCP, and FSANZ food standards • Strong leadership, communication, analytical problem-solving, and relentless prioritization skills What you’ll get in return… • The chance to have a significant impact in a leading global food technology company • Flexible working arrangements • Egoless environment, constant learning with room for personal growth • Free access to Headspace • Internal learning & development • A diverse and vibrant international environment, with offices in 18 countries • Company discount - 70% off HelloFresh & 40% Youfoodz • Onsite gym at the facility • Convenient on-site parking.
