As our AI Engineering Lead, you’ll take on the harder challenge: turning ambitious ideas into trusted, production-ready technology. You’ll lead a specialist team, shape the architecture behind our AI ambitions and play a defining role in how AI transforms DataGuard. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING • Own the target architecture for DataGuard’s AI technology and guide the transition from early-stage solutions to reliable, scalable production systems • Lead and develop our three-person AI functional team, setting clear technical direction, priorities and meaningful development paths • Understand the DataGuard product ecosystem and identify where AI can create genuine customer and business value across the platform • Define robust engineering standards for validation, reliability, observability, testing, security, documentation and controlled releases • Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Operations and selected business teams to deliver high-value AI initiatives without creating unsupported or unscalable solutions • Balance architectural depth with pragmatic delivery, making thoughtful trade-offs while maintaining momentum in an ambitious scale-up environment WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN • The proper tools and capacities to build up and lead an ambitious, international team with diverse skill sets • Enjoy the freedom and trust to bring in and execute your ideas with a quick pace, autonomy, and the ability to make impactful decisions. • Gain strategic insights into management topics with the opportunity to actively contribute, working closely alongside leadership and executive peers. • Rapid development opportunities, attractive performance bonuses, and the opportunity to strengthen your leadership skills and business expertise • Step into a stable, forward-looking role within a dynamic scale-up poised to shape the fast-growing Security & Compliance industry THE QUALITIES YOU'LL NEED FOR A SUCCESSFUL CAREER AT DATAGUARD • Excellent academic background in computer science, machine learning, mathematics or a related quantitative field • Strong experience taking AI/ML systems from prototype to reliable, scalable production • Excellent architectural judgement and the ability to make clear, pragmatic technical trade-offs • Experience leading a specialist team while remaining technically credible and hands-on • High engineering standards across testing, observability, security and release quality • Strong communicator who can turn complex AI topics into clear decisions across technical and business teams LAST BUT NOT LEAST.
