About the role

About the opportunity Hi, I’m Cristina, the Head of People Business Partnering at N26 and I am looking for a Senior People Business Partner to join our People Team, partnering directly with our executive leaders across our Product and Business divisions. Why is this role exciting and why should you apply? • You will act as a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and sounding board to our Chief Product and Business Officer (CPBO) and their leadership team during a key phase of growth. • You will review and evolve our organizational design to unlock team potential, driving the seamless fusion of Product and Business into a unified, high-performing organization. • You will navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, challenge assumptions and drive strategic clarity to turn goals into reality. • You will lead the end-to-end execution of core people processes and solve complex talent challenges in a fast-paced fintech environment… all while having fun doing it! In the role you will: • Build a robust, trust-based relationship with our CPBO and executive leaders, serving as a pragmatic advisor who can diplomatically challenge assumptions, steer high-stakes conversations, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment. • Enable the seamless fusion of Product and Business divisions through impactful organizational design solutions and cross-functional synergy. • Lead strategic workforce planning in close partnership with Finance for Product and Business, optimizing organizational design while actively steering headcount, costs, and budget compliance. • Lead the end-to-end execution of core people cycles across the organization (e.g., talent management, succession planning, compensation reviews, senior leadership onboarding), ensuring smooth operational delivery that directly supports business evolution. • Proactively spot friction points, align diverging priorities, and apply diplomatic conflict-resolution frameworks to maintain team alignment and momentum. • Provide continuous coaching and constructive, actionable feedback to leaders at all levels, helping them elevate their effectiveness and scale their capabilities. • Harness data and workforce metrics to anticipate organizational risks, forecast capacity and talent needs, and present data-informed recommendations to demanding stakeholders. • There will be a lot more too; this is a role that operates at the center of organizational change and will require a lot of flexibility and grit. What you’ll need to be successful: • Extensive experience as a People Business Partner within fast-paced, high-growth, or tech-driven environments, ideally supporting product, commercial, or tech teams. • A proven track record of acting as a credible peer and trusted advisor to decisive, high-standard senior executives (VP/C-Level). • Demonstrated experience leading teams through reorganizations, mergers, or structural shifts to build shared culture and cross-functional synergy. • Proven track record of partnering with cross-border, distributed teams across multiple jurisdictions, with a sound working knowledge of varying European labor legislations and Works Councils. • Exceptional communication and emotional intelligence, with the ability to influence without authority, manage expectations, and lead with radical candor. You bring a solutions-oriented mindset, capable of cutting through complexity to deliver simple, high-impact outcomes. • You have the practical capability to coach both emerging managers and seasoned executives on people leadership and team engagement. • You are comfortable using people analytics and qualitative insights to build compelling business cases, track team engagement, and measure the effectiveness of people initiatives. • You are a proactive self-starter
