About the role

Who is liable when a truck's software updates overnight? What does the AI Act mean for a vehicle? Join Coretura's legal team and help answer questions few companies have faced yet.At Coretura, these aren't theoretical questions. We're building the software platform for the next generation of trucks and how we answer them shapes how we do business. How should open source be licensed in a vehicle? Who carries the risk when a cyberattack hits a fleet? What does the Cyber Resilience Act require of a truck operating system? We're now making the second hire in our legal team. This is not a role where legal reviews decisions after they're made. You'll be in the room for customer meetings, supplier negotiations and product decisions, and help shape how legal works in a company that is still being built.About the positionYou'll work directly with our General Counsel and closely with engineering, product and commercial teams. Your main areas: Negotiating and drafting agreements with suppliers, partners and customers Compliance across GDPR, the AI Act, the Cyber Resilience Act, the Data Act, export control and competition law Protecting our IP, such as trademarks and trade secrets Practical legal training for our teams Board, investor and owner matters together with the General CounselA big part of the job is making legal easy to use: templates colleagues can work with on their own, and guidance that helps product teams build compliance in from the start. The role will develop as we do, so expect the focus to shift over time. What we're looking forYou have a Swedish law degree and 5+ years of experience from a law firm or an in-house role, with a broad background in commercial contracts. You're interested in digital regulation such as GDPR, the AI Act, the Data Act, the Cyber Resilience Act or open source licensing, and ideally you've worked with some of it. You don't need to know it all, but you're keen to learn quickly and turn it into advice people can use. You're comfortable in a technical discussion as well as a commercial negotiation, or motivated to become so. Above all, you're pragmatic and have strong integrity.About CoreturaCoretura is a joint venture between Volvo Group and Daimler Truck.
