This role requires a understanding of systems, networking, monitoring, and security, with a strong bias toward automation, reliability and scale. What you will do • Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. • Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems. • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. • Builds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions. • Focuses on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/analyzes for review by experienced team professionals. • Technical knowledge using: Ansible, Python, Packer, AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, etc), Linux. • Open minded, flexible, willingness and ability to learn new technologies as required. • Utilize best practices in release management, incident management, capacity planning, and operational readiness. • Proactively identify opportunities to increase system resiliency. • Participate in on-call rotation, demonstrating strong customer empathy and responsiveness to incidents. • Own and improve standard operating procedures and system documentation. What you will have Required Skills and Experience: • Strong Linux systems administration background with a deep understanding of how Linux interacts with hardware (CPU, memory, disk, networking). • Experience in scripting and automation using Ansible, Bash, Python, Packer, and Terraform. • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, etc.) • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD concepts. • Experience with datacenter operations including racking, stacking, and remote system management. • Experience with managing and configuration of systems at scale with zero-touch provisioning approaches. • Experience managing monitoring systems and developing custom dashboards for observability. • Experience with networking within a linux environment (Router -> Switch -> Server -> Virtualization -> Linux -> Service) ; BGP and DNS experience is a plus. • Experience with DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. • Ability to self-manage, communicate effectively, and collaborate with diverse technical teams.
