US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role
Get to Know Us
Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.
We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools, false positives resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.
What You’ll Do
We’re looking for an IT Engineer who looks at every process as an opportunity to automate. If you’ve ever looked at your coffee machine and thought, “I wish I could run a bash command to make my morning cup” and then made it happen, you’re who we’re looking for.
You will be the primary owner of the IT automations that keep our operations running. Whether that means Workato recipes, Okta Workflows, Agentic Support flows, or really cool crons, you will run the automation backbone of the whole of IT. You will take it over from day one and keep it running without failures. Then you will make it better. You will build quick wins that give hours back to IT, create workflows that remove manual steps, and start moving IT configuration, infrastructure, and identity into code that is versioned, reviewed, and repeatable.
This is a senior, hands-on role on the IT Engineering team. You will set your own priorities, work with little supervision, and partner with Security Operations and IT Business Applications wherever your work touches theirs.
This role will be responsible for…..
- Owning onboarding, termination, and device logistics automation end to end: keeping every flow healthy, finding the root cause of every failure, and fixing it for good
- Running the IT Workato workspace, including recipes, connections, error handling, and alerts.
- Building the safety net: runbooks, monitoring, and a clear failure response for the IT flows that cannot break
- Building workflows in Okta and Rovo/Jira that remove manual steps from IT processes
- Laying the foundation for IT as code: a repository, cloud-hosted in-house tooling, and Terraform, CI/CD, and linters, with Python and Bash to tie it together
- Partnering with Security Operations on access scoping, termination timing, and cloud approval, and with Business Applications on platform-level Workato access and limits
- Taking over from the engineer who runs these flows today through a partnered hand-off. Ownership transfers when you start, and runbooks and peer review back you up.
- Holding a reliability bar of 99% or better each calendar month.
- Reporting on flow reliability, failures, and their causes to IT leadership
- Demonstrating a commitment to integrity, process improvement, and customer satisfaction
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Must have hands-on experience building and running automations in a workflow or integration platform. Workato is preferred, and tools such as Zapier, Tines, or Okta Workflows are equally welcome
- Must have experience writing Python to automate business
