Job Title Intern - Systems Engineer – New Kensington, PA – Summer 2027 Job Description Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in 3-4 month paid Intern opportunities at our site in New Kensington, PA. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.   Your role: • Support Systems Engineering activities throughout the product development process under the guidance of experienced engineers. Develop an understanding of how user, business, and regulatory needs are translated into system design. • Support system integration activities, including test preparation and execution, data analysis, defect documentation, and follow-up. • Contribute to system architecture, interface definition, and technical feasibility activities by researching options, organizing information, and documenting findings. • Participate in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with hardware, software, quality, and manufacturing teams. • Complete a defined engineering project or analysis and present results, recommendations, and lessons learned to the team.   You're the right fit if: • You are pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Software, or Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field. • You have solid basic computer skills including MS Office Suite. • You have good communication and presentation skills for reporting project status. • You have knowledge of CAD (Pro-E), FEA and CFD software desired but not required. • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.   How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart.
