About the role
iFIT’s vision is to create the world's most holistic health and fitness platform, integrating all elements of health - physical fitness, mental health, nutrition and active recovery - into a seamless interactive experience. We develop proprietary software that learns and adjusts to the habits of each person as it delivers immersive content that guides them on their own individual fitness journey.
We're hiring a mid-level CRM / Lifecycle Strategist (contractor) to support our acquisition-forward lifecycle programs across email and SMS for the Australian market. You'll turn behavioral and subscription data into journeys that move prospects from first touch to conversion and upsell. You'll report to the Director of CRM / Lifecycle Marketing and partner closely with Data, Creative, Product, and Ecommerce.
Contractor opportunity (20 hours / week) - 6 month contract
What you'll do
• Own lifecycle strategy. Map the prospect-to-customer journey from first touch through conversion and upsell, and prioritize programs by acquisition and revenue impact.
• Build and optimize journeys. Design, configure, and QA automated email and SMS journeys, including triggered, transactional, and behavioral campaigns.
• Segment and personalize. Use Contact Builder, filtered data extensions, and SQL queries to build dynamic audiences; use dynamic blocks and/or AMPscript for personalization.
• Run a testing program. Plan and analyze A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, content, timing, and offers; document learnings and roll out winners.
• Own deliverability and compliance. Monitor sender reputation, list hygiene, and engagement; ensure compliance with the Australian Spam Act, NZ Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act, CAN-SPAM, GDPR/CCPA, and TCPA across email and SMS.
• Report and recommend. Build dashboards and regular readouts on engagement, conversion, upsell, and LTV; translate findings into clear next steps for leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally. Brief Creative on email and SMS assets, work with Data on event and attribute requirements, and align with Product, Ecommerce, and Paid on promotions and launches.
• Manage the campaign calendar. Coordinate promotional and lifecycle sends so cadence, frequency, and audience overlap stay healthy.
What you bring
• 3–5 years in CRM, lifecycle, or acquisition marketing, ideally in subscription, DTC, ecommerce, or fitness/wellness.
• Hands-on experience with an enterprise marketing automation platform; Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience preferred.
• Some knowledge of SQL and personalization scripting (or ability to learn quickly).
• Proven track record of launching lifecycle programs (welcome, abandonment, conversion, upsell) and tying them to measurable results.
• Strong analytical skills: comfortable with KPIs like open/click/conversion rates, conversion, upsell, and LTV, and with test design and statistical significance.
• Familiarity with email deliverability, list management, and privacy regulations.
• Clear communicator who can explain strategy and results to non-technical partners.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple programs and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification (e.g., Email Specialist).
• Experience running SMS programs, including opt-in and compliance management.
• Experience with CDPs or predictive, AI-driven personalization.
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Looker) or product analytics (Amplitude).
• Basic HTML/CSS for email troubleshooting.
How success is measured
• Lifecycle-driven conversion and upsell revenue against quarterly targets.
• Journey performance: engagement, conversion, and upsell versus baseline.
