About the role

About Maximizer Maximizer has been building CRM software in Vancouver since 1987. That’s longer than most software companies have existed, and it means we’ve seen how sales and client relationships change, and what stays the same. Our software helps financial advisors and sales teams keep track of the relationships their business depends on. It’s built in Canada, with Canadian data hosting for customers who want their client data to stay here, and in G2’s Spring 2026 reports, based on real user reviews, Maximizer was named a Leader and High Performer in CRM. We’re about 50 people, and we like it that way. In a team this size, you know your colleagues, your work is visible, and there’s room to step into new challenges and shape projects that matter. We work in a hybrid model, and we make the most of the time we spend together, from team events to the small moments that make work more fun. Where we’re headed: we’re investing in how our teams connect with each other, and in becoming the go-to resource for our clients. If you want to help build both, we’d like to meet you. About the team Formula: Our accounting team keeps the financial picture accurate, timely, and clear, for Maximizer and for a portfolio of Concord Pacific affiliates. You’ll work closely with Maximizer’s leadership and cross-functional teams, and you’ll have the opportunity to oversee accounting for other Concord Pacific affiliates, which gives the role more variety than a typical single-company finance job. We’re looking for a manager who understands how a finance team runs day to day, can spot where the nuance is in the close, reconciliations, and reporting, and can guide the team through it. About the role What you’ll do • • Lead the close and financial reporting: Oversee month-end and year-end close across a large portfolio, and prepare and review financial statements and management reports so they’re accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards. • Run accounting operations: Oversee transaction review, account reconciliations, and reporting processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. • Lead and develop your team: Coach and mentor accounting team members, prioritize workloads, set expectations, and make sure deadlines are consistently met. • Own audit and tax: Prepare and review year-end audit working papers, act as the main contact for external auditors, and oversee partnership and corporate tax filings. • Partner and improve: Provide financial insights to leadership and stakeholders through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and work with cross-functional teams to improve processes, automation, and tools (including AI-enabled tools), with attention to data accuracy, security, and internal controls. What you bring (must-haves) • • CPA designation and at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls, plus advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems and reporting tools • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members in a collaborative, high-performing environment, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, with a problem-solving and continuous-improvement mindset • Comfort adapting to new systems and tools, and an interest in using emerging technology, including AI, to improve workflows while protecting cybersecurity and data accuracy Benefits • Comprehensive benefits • Partnership discounts • Internal growth opportunities How we hire, including how we use AI Every
