Back End Node Js Developer

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Back End Node.js Developer to join our growing engineering team in Barcelona, Spain. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications using Node.js, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to writing clean, well-organized code that meets our high standards for quality and performance. • Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs using Node.js and JavaScript, ensuring optimal performance and reliability • Design and implement efficient database solutions, including schema design and query optimization • Write clean, maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices • Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a systematic and organized manner • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure application stability and reduce bugs • Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making • Monitor application performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency • Document code, APIs, and technical processes for team knowledge sharing and future reference **Required Skills and Experience:** • Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript with demonstrated experience building production-level applications • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL) • Solid knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git • Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture • Familiarity with server-side frameworks and libraries (e.g., Express.js, Fastify) • Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns • Proven ability to write organized, efficient, and well-documented code **Preferred Skills and Experience:** • Experience with TypeScript for type-safe development • Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker • Experience with testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD) • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) • Knowledge of message queues and event streaming (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) • Experience with performance monitoring and logging tools At Fusion, we unite entrepreneurial minds from around the globe to develop and implement game-changing solutions that build lasting relationships with our clients.
