About the role

About Quandela Quandela stands as a global leader in quantum computing, driven by groundbreaking technology and a strategic vision for scaling quantum solutions. The company’s unique ability to offer both hardware and software solutions, along with its commitment to build energy efficient datacenters and scalability, positions it to play a key role in the next wave of innovation, and in many strategic and sovereign industrial sectors. Join Us at the Forefront of Quantum Computing Innovation 🚀 Description of the Team/Project One of Quandela's priority is demonstrating fault tolerant quantum computing. We are widely known for our boson samplers, where one source can provide many photons, but for FTQC we will do spin-spin operations, mediated by photons with a dash of entanglement. So, instead of many photons from few sources, we need many photons from many spins. That means that someone has to ; every day, for months ; test many "spin-photon sources" together and determine whether the photons have adequate properties (single, indistinguishable, entangled), and other things. Where you will help, is making these measurements less tedious, by making some of it automated. For instance, by rotating waveplates by the right amount and in the right order at the right time. Upon your arrival the setup should be already built, but if we are behind schedule, you will probably give a hand on that too. Your Key Responsibilities Write instrumentation code that automates part of the process of a tomography/g(2)/HOM/lifetime/coherence time setup, and/or whatever is needed to make this setup run at the moment of the internship. Requirements Education & Background • Master’s degree (M2) in Physics or a related field Technical Skills • Optics (predominantly polarization understanding) • Quantum Mechanics (understanding what the measurements mean would help) • Python (primarily for instrumentation purposes, with limited data analysis) Soft Skills • Autonomy • Written reporting Languages • Fluent in either French or English, with at least a professional or scientific working proficiency in English Benefits • Swile Card (meal vouchers) 🍴🛒 • 50% participation in transportation costs 🚆 • Possibility of remote work 💻 • Internship Allowance between €1,200 and €1,400 per month 💰 • 1,5 days off per month, cumulative 🧳 What we also offer A challenging and innovative work environment at the heart of quantum computing. A diverse and collaborative company culture. Opportunities for professional growth and skill development. At Quandela, we believe that the strength of our team is the plurality of experiences, perspectives, and journeys. We are committed to building a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment. All applications are welcome. Find more English Speaking Jobs in France on Arbeitnow
