About the role
As a Growth Marketing Specialist for the Requirements Portal team, you will own new-user acquisition channels. You will identify where hardware engineers already spend their time and test new ways to reach them, bringing more engineers into the product at a lower cost per acquisition (CPA).
You will oversee our paid media program, managed by our agency partner. You will also test new channels, including hardware engineering communities, sponsorships and marketing partnerships, organic social, review and comparison sites, and visibility in AI assistants and large language model (LLM) search.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will drive campaigns and build and run experiments, collaborating with team members. We expect you to take the initiative. Bring your own ideas for channels and tactics, test them with data, and help decide where we invest next.
You will report to the Sr. Mgr, Product Marketing for Requirements Portal and work closely with product marketing, technical content, the product growth team, and other internal Altium marketers and agency partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Channels
• Find, test, and scale new acquisition channels
• Track and attribute new users to their channels
• Bring new channel ideas to the Team Lead, each with a clear case
2. Paid Media
• Oversee the paid media program our agency partner manages
• Push for continuous improvement in paid performance
• Agree on goals, mix, and budgets for paid media campaigns
3. Growth Experimentation
• Own the growth experimentation framework
• Turn data and AI-generated analysis into insights and an actionable experiment list
• Recommend how to shift the quarterly acquisition budget based on results
4. Funnel Analytics & Collaboration
• Track acquisition performance by channel
• Report on CPA and channel mix
• Share insights with product marketing and technical content teams
• Hand off new users to the product growth team at signup
What Success Looks Like
• Two or three new acquisition channels proven and repeatable within 12 months
• Part of the quarterly budget shifted to proven new channels with lower CPA
Required
• 5+ years of relevant B2B marketing experience
• Experience at a product-led company, where marketing goals are tied to product usage (sales-led experience alone isn’t a good fit)
• Experience marketing to a technical audience, such as engineers or software developers
• A track record of launching at least one acquisition channel from zero, backed by data
• Strong experimentation skills: designing tests and using results to decide what to scale or stop
• Strong communication skills, with experience driving initiatives with external partners
• Comfortable using AI tools for analysis and critical of their output
• Fluent English, written and spoken
Preferred
• Experience running community programs
• Experience managing sponsorships or marketing partnerships
• Experience overseeing paid media, in-house or through an agency
• Experience with software review sites
• Experience with AI search visibility
• Basic understanding of requirements management or hardware development
