Senior Engineering Manager - Alexandria

What you'll be doing Leading product engineering • Keeping a fast-moving product on track, turning the roadmap into reliable delivery across Buyer Channels, Seller Studio and Platform. • Shaping small, autonomous teams with clear ownership and ways of working that suit a distributed organization. • Helping teams get real value from AI coding agents, with clear quality standards and metrics that show measurable impact. • Building in reliability with the Platform team: observability, SLOs and incident management. • Coaching team leads and senior engineers, and hiring and developing engineers across all locations. Leading our Egypt engineering community • Being the local face of Sana and first point of contact for every engineer in Egypt, whatever their team. • Holding regular 1:1s to support engineers’ growth and careers. • Building a connected Sana community in Egypt and growing the team. What you'll bring Must-haves • 5+ years in engineering management, including 2+ years leading multiple teams or team leads. • A background as a senior engineer or tech lead, with a strong understanding of cloud-native, API-first systems (Azure is a plus). • A track record of delivering a new product to production and running it, with measurable outcomes. • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools, yourself or through teams you've led, and a clear view of where they help and where they fail. • Track record of developing engineers, and excellent written and spoken English. Nice-to-haves • Experience setting up or leading an engineering site. • Experience with LLM or agent-based products, or with B2B commerce. • Experience leading distributed teams across cultures, including through influence. • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
