About the role
About the Role
Brand Strategy & Activations is the brand steward at Chime. We own the integrated campaigns that carry the brand, from brief through production to the readout on how the work performed. Outside of campaigns, we run the social-led work, partnerships, and talent that put Chime into culture. Teams across the company rely on Brand every day, and we’re accountable for being the glue that gets great work out the door.
The Head of Brand generates a large volume of ideas and direction. This role is the person who catches it and turns it into work the company can actually execute: a goal, an owner, a brief, a schedule, and a result. If you’ve ever sat in a room and known exactly how a loose idea becomes a shipped campaign, this is that job.
You’ll work across Creative, Media, Social, Partnerships, Insights, Product Marketing, Legal, and Compliance, plus our external agency partners. You’ll be trusted with getting the brand’s biggest moments through a complicated system.
In this role, you can expect to
• Turning vision into workstreams. Take direction from the Head of Brand and define it as goals with scope, owners, success measures, and a timeline. Bring structure to ideas that arrive without it.
• Cross-functional alignment. Secure what each workstream needs from the functions that touch it, and keep every partner team clear on what they owe and when.
• Briefing. Write and own the briefs for your workstreams, following the team’s briefing process so the quality bar is consistent across everything we produce.
• Work-back schedules. Build the work-back for your workstreams, hold the dates, and flag slippage before it becomes a problem.
• Talent and partnerships. Help choose the talent and brand partners who fit Chime, and own how those relationships are set up and run.
• Social. Own how your workstreams come together on social, where most of this work is seen.
• Calendar alignment. Keep the brand calendar coherent against the team’s goals so moments land in the right order and don’t collide.
• Results. Close every workstream with a readout on what it achieved, and carry the learnings into the next brief.
To thrive in this role, you have
• 8+ years experience on both the agency side and the brand side, roughly two to three years in each. You know what it’s like to receive a bad brief and what it’s like to write one.
• A track record of taking an idea that existed only in someone’s head and turning it into a campaign that shipped.
• Strong writing. Briefs, goals, and recaps are the output of this job, and vague writing produces vague work.
• Comfort running several workstreams at once without losing the detail on any of them.
• Experience working with talent, creators, or brand partners, and judgment about which ones are right for a brand.
• Fluency in social, including what performs and why.
