About the role

Akur8 is one of the leading providers of insurance pricing and rating technology. Our mission is to modernize how insurers assess, price, and manage risk. Our SaaS platform combines transparent machine learning, predictive analytics, and rating technology to turn complex insurance workflows into scalable, data-driven systems. Insurers use it to model and rate risk up to 10x faster while keeping transparency, explainability, and regulatory trust. As the product suite expands, we are building an end-to-end platform for pricing, reserving, and forward-looking risk decisions. Recognized globally, Akur8 has been featured in: • CB Insights' Insurtech 50 (2025) • CNBC's InsurTech Top 150 (2025) • InsurTech100 Global Insurtech Top 100 (2025) • Professional Equality Index 97/100 (2025) Akur8 has 50+ nationalities across 8 global offices and serves 420+ clients across 4 continents. We’re an equal opportunities employer, and we value the different perspectives that help shape better products and decisions. Deploy is Akur8’s stateless rating engine, delivering subsecond insurance premium computations across a wide range of industry use cases. It sits at the intersection of two key functions in insurance. Actuaries extract insights from data and make the statistical decisions that shape the business. IT teams, in turn, build and maintain the reliable systems that put those decisions into production. Today, these two worlds operate with different skills, priorities and tools, connected through slow, manual handoffs between teams. Deploy replaces this process with a shared foundation that aligns actuarial and IT teams and reduces time-to-market. Building it requires a deep understanding of how both functions are organised, what each is trying to achieve, and the complex ecosystem behind an insurance product and its pricing. This is what makes the role both dynamic and challenging. At Akur8, we value a builder mindset. We embrace the AI revolution by providing the right tools and removing barriers, so that everyone contributing to product development maximises their impact. We’re looking for a Pricing Engine Product Manager to join the Deploy team, a cross-functional role focused on solving problems and rapid delivery of results to our customers. To succeed, you’ll build a solid understanding of how the different parts of our platform interact, allow you to abstract customer problems into a clear framework, turning complex challenges into clean solutions. We’re interested in people who are motivated by solving problems and comfortable diving deep into the details. You take innovative approaches to find intuitive solutions to seemingly complex problems. You also share our builder mindset, and you get excited about delivering fast iterations on difficult challenges. Main responsibilities • Continuously deepening your understanding of actuarial ratemaking and IT deployment challenges, including product models and Policy Admin System design. • Working at pace, with short iteration cycles, to shape user flows and prototypes that tackle complex API management and distil insurance complexity into clean, opinionated solutions. • Defining frameworks and approaches that address user pain points, prioritising what matters and setting aside what doesn’t. • Leading user interviews to build a thorough understanding of end users’ challenges and objectives. For this key role within our Product Management team we’re keen to speak to applicants that meet the following criteria. • A Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline • 3+ years experience in either the P&C insurance industry or with products managing, defining and orchestrating high performant API connections and integrations. • Excellent quantitative & analytical skills • Prof
