About the role

For this role, we will only consider candidates who are currently based in the Netherlands. About SkinVision Skin cancer is highly treatable when caught early, but limited access to specialist care and long wait times delay diagnosis, increasing the risk of late-stage cases and driving up treatment costs. SkinVision, founded in Amsterdam in 2012, exists to close that gap. Our proprietary AI — certified as a Class IIa medical device under EU regulation, with over 90% sensitivity and 89% specificity — has already helped nearly 3 million people worldwide detect early signs of skin cancer. Today, SkinVision has a database of more than 6 million skin spot assessments and can reach 20 million people through insurer partnerships. High-risk cases are reviewed by a team of dermatologists, who support users in taking the right next step — from urgent care to a specialist referral. We are extending this further, connecting users faster to the specialist care they need. We're a focused, international team, active globally, united by one goal: making early detection accessible to everyone, everywhere. If you join us, you're not just building a product — you're helping close the gap between a person noticing something and getting the care they need. DevOps at SkinVision As a DevOps Engineer at SkinVision, you will play a key role in building, scaling, and securing the infrastructure that powers our AI-driven health platform. You’ll design and maintain our cloud-based systems in AWS, implement CI/CD pipelines, enhance observability using Datadog, and drive operational excellence through automation and monitoring. Your work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of a medical-grade system that serves users globally. You’ll collaborate closely with backend, ML, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery, rapid deployments, and resilient operations — ultimately enabling us to deliver life-saving technology with confidence. Beyond hands-on expertise with AWS and modern DevOps tooling, we’re looking for someone who thinks architecturally. You’ll get to know our current setup, form your own view of how it should evolve, and help define a target vision for our infrastructure, then drive its implementation. Day-to-day operational work is part of the role, but we value someone who thinks before building and takes ownership of where our infrastructure goes next. What you will do Cloud Infrastructure & Automation • Design, build, and manage AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. • Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and deployments using CI/CD pipelines. • Ensure system resilience, security, and performance through automated monitoring and alerting. CI/CD & Deployment • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable, and safe deployments across environments. • Manage deployment workflows using Argo CD and Kubernetes. • Collaborate with developers and ML engineers to streamline build, test, and release processes. • Integrate automated testing, rollback strategies, and version control into the deployment lifecycle. Observability & Monitoring • Build a comprehensive observability stack using Datadog for metrics, logs, traces, and alerts. • Define service-level objectives (SLOs), service-level indicators (SLIs), and dashboards for system performance. • Proactively detect and resolve performance bottlenecks, capacity issues, and reliability risks. • Create automated health checks and ensure visibility across production systems. Security & Compliance • Implement security best practices for AWS, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. • Manage identity, access, a
