About the role
Our client, Crewit Resourcing Limited, based in Citywest, Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanics for immediate start for their facilities in Dublin and Laois.Duties & Responsibilities- To be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of light commercial vehicles (primarily refrigerated vans) to ensure maximum operational efficiency, compliance with road safety standards, and minimal downtime.- To perform diagnostic tests on light commercial vehicles, completing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are safe and adhere to regulatory standards.- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues on LCVs using diagnostic tools and software.- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.- Repair and replace parts including engines, brakes, suspension, transmission, and refrigeration units.- Perform pre-NCT checks and ensure all vehicles meet required safety and compliance standards.- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs carried out.- Respond to breakdowns and perform roadside assistance when required.- Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to schedule maintenance and ensure minimal disruption to operations.- Ensure all work is performed in line with company health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.- Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work meet or exceed regulatory standardsRequirements & Experience- Candidate must be competent to carry out all duties listed above- Minimum 3 years of experience working on light commercial vehicles as a mechanic- Mechanic qualification is an advantage but is not required- Experience in carrying out routine servicing and preventive & reactive maintenance on commercial fleet vehicles is required- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.- Ability to check and assess vehicles for road safety requirements and testing- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Flexibility for occasional overtime and on-call duties.- Experience with vehicle diagnostic software (e.g. TEXA, Snap-on).- Familiarity with health & safety protocols in a workshop environment.Annual remuneration: €36,605.00; Pay rate €18.05 per hourWork Locations – Crewit Resourcing Limited at:- Unit 1G, 3015 Lake Drive, Citywest Business Campus, Co.
