The person hired for the position of senior research engineer, Corporate Research Laboratory-Asia will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: • Lead the development of a fundamental understanding of the mechanical behavior of 3M materials and products. • Perform mechanical testing and analysis for soft materials, polymers and adhesives. • Develop novel test methods for polymers and adhesives. • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application engineers, scientists, and process engineers to enable next-generation products via Multiphysics/Finite Element Analysis modeling and simulation • Support simulation engagements with customers • Provide guidance for development of novel materials that meet mechanical requirements of applications. • Interface with customers to define problems and develop solutions. • Understand, develop, and guide the establishment of digital twins. • Initiate and contribute to the analysis and development of intellectual property Senior Research Engineer, Corporate Research Laboratory-Asia 포지션에 채용되는 분은 호기심을 발휘하고 전 세계의 가장 혁신적이고 다양한 전문가들과 협업할 기회를 갖게 됩니다. 이 역할에서 귀하는 다음과 같은 방식으로 영향력을 발휘하게 됩니다: • 3M 소재와 제품의 기계적 거동에 대한 근본적 이해 개발을 주도 • 연성 소재, 폴리머, 접착제에 대한 기계적 시험 및 분석 수행 • 폴리머 및 접착제를 위한 새로운 시험 방법 개발 ​ • Application Engineer, Scientist, Process Engineer로 구성된 유관부서와 협업하여 Multiphysics/유한요소해석(FEA) 기반 모델링 및 시뮬레이션을 통해 차세대 제품 개발 지원 • 고객 대상 시뮬레이션 프로젝트 지원 • 적용 분야의 기계적 요구사항을 충족하는 신소재 개발을 위한 기술적 가이드 제공 • 고객과 소통하여 문제를 정의하고 솔루션을 개발 • 디지털 트윈의 이해, 개발 및 구축 방향성 수립에 기여 • 지적 재산(IP) 분석 및 개발 활동을 시작하고 기여 Required Qualifications • Ph.D. degree (completed and verified prior to start) or Masters degree with 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry • Experience in deformable body mechanics • Fundamental understanding of soft matter physics and mechanical behavior and polymer synthesis/structure • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to excel in cross-functional environments • Must be highly motivated, self-starting and a creative problem solver • 기계공학, 재료공학, 물리학 또는 화학 분야의 박사 학위 (입사 전 취득) 또는 동일 분야 석사 학위 보유자로 5년 이상의 경력 보유 • 연성체 (Deformable body) 역학 관련 경험 • 연성 물질(Soft matter) 물리, 기계적 거동, 폴리머 합성/구조에 대한 기초적 이해 • 뛰어난 대인 관계 능력을 갖추고 유관부서와 탁월하게 협업할 수 있어야 합니다. • 높은 동기부여를 갖고 주도적으로 업무를 시작하며 창의적으로 문제를 해결할 수 있어야 합니다.
