About the role
Careers that change lives start here. Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.
A Day in the Life
The Technical Consultant serves as the vital clinical and technical backbone for Medtronic’s cardiovascular therapies across Karachi's healthcare network. Operating directly in the operating theatre and catheterization labs, you will provide real-time clinical technical support to Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and Cardiac Surgeons during complex TAVI, CRM, and CRDN procedures. You exist to ensure the safe, seamless, and effective deployment of Medtronic technologies, partnering closely with commercial sales teams and hospital clinical staff. Your ultimate impact will be measured by elevated physician confidence, optimized patient outcomes, and the successful market penetration of next-generation cardiac therapies.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver expert intra-operative technical support and device troubleshooting to clinicians in the Cath lab during TAVI valve deployments, CRM device implants, and CRDN procedures
• Conduct extensive clinical education and hands-on training workshops for physicians, fellows, and nursing staff on Medtronic cardiovascular product profiles and procedural techniques
• Partner with the commercial sales team to identify clinical adoption barriers, provide deep technical validations, and convert competitive accounts through superior clinical support
• Manage and execute product launches for new cardiovascular portfolios in Karachi, ensuring all regional key opinion leaders (KOLs) are fully certified and supported
• Oversee regional inventory accuracy by managing field stock, ensuring appropriate device configurations are available for scheduled cases, and reporting field product performance data
• Maintain comprehensive clinical data registries and case logs to track implant outcomes, ensuring strict adherence to Medtronic quality compliance and safety standards
• Guidance: Use 6-8 concise bullets, ordered from most to least important. Focus on work that differentiates the role. Explain Medtronic-specific products, technologies or acronyms the first time they appear.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Cardiovascular Sciences, Medical Imaging Technology, or a strictly related clinical discipline
• Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on clinical technical support experience inside catheterization labs or cardiac operating theatres
• Proven technical proficiency in pacing therapies (CRM) or structural heart interventions (TAVI) with a verifiable track record of supporting live cases
• Fluency in English and Urdu, with the physical mobility to travel up to 60% of the time across Karachi and regional clinical sites
• Guidance: Use 3-5 bullets. Include only objective, measurable and genuinely non-negotiable requirements. Avoid subjective traits and do not mix preferred criteria into this section.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct product experience with Cardiovascular Portfolios (such as TAVI platforms or High Energy Devices)
• Established professional relationships with Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, and Cath Lab managers within major Karachi hospitals.
