About the role

Help us get ahead of disease together with our Global Supply Chain Business Area / Reliability Improvement Engineer Internship, 2027:  Education required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English Internship period : January to June 2027 Application deadline: As applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, we recommend applying as soon as possible for your application to be considered. What will you do? To develop & implement equipment health monitoring for rotating equipment and apply risk-based inspection method for static equipment. What will you learn? • Bad actor identification for rotating equipment (i.e. pumps with frequent failures) • Address and mitigate risks associated with bad actor via equipment health monitoring (i.e. wireless vibration sensors for vibration monitoring) • Address and mitigate risks associated with the loss of primary containment in static equipment, including piping systems, tanks, and flexible hoses • Identify potential failure points and analyze existing safety measures to implement improvements that prevent leaks or ruptures • Conduct thorough inspections and integrity assessments and develop enhanced maintenance and monitoring procedures • Acquire technical knowledge in rotating and static equipment, vibration spectrum analysis, containment systems, inspection techniques, risk assessment, procedural development • Gain valuable industry insights What are we looking for? • A lively interest in engineering work and biopharmaceutical industry • Strong analytical mindset to troubleshoot simple and complex systems • Good ability to analyse and create visualisation for large set of data • Basic understanding of usage of tools such as Pivot Table in Microsoft Excel and PowerBi • Pro-active with high level of independence • Curious and keen learner, and a team player • Adaptability to change and working under pressure • Excellent communication skills that help you influence • Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity • Drive and confidence to trust your own judgment • Great project management skills and the ability to prioritise What do we offer you? • Understand and experience the GSK Culture • Work with a diversified team of professionals • Implement technical knowledge and skills that you have acquired at school • Apply and develop soft skills such as interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills • Transport to and from site to MRT stations in centralised locations all across Singapore (only for manufacturing sites) Let’s do this!
