Job Description This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Austin Technical Center or GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business if more than 3 days]. Our business analytics platform engineering team is at the forefront of this transformation, leveraging the power of Azure and AWS to deliver enterprise-grade solutions that provide insights to everyone across the company. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data-driven culture. You'll be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining state-of-the-art analytics platforms including Power BI Premium on Azure Fabric, Tableau Analytics on AWS, and Cognos Analytics on Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) to name a few. What You’ll Do • Build and evolve a future‑ready, enterprise‑scale business analytics platform using a proven three‑plane architecture with an AI‑enabled experience layer for user support and operational intelligence, a metadata and configuration driven control layer, and an IaC and API driven execution layer supporting Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau, while enabling end‑to‑end automation of user requests through Slack integrations and modern platform engineering practices. • Design and develop scalable, secure, and reliable analytics platforms on Azure and AWS, leveraging container technologies for efficient application deployment and management. • BI platforms administration, management and operations, including data modeling and report authoring best practices using Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos. • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, implement GitOps workflows, and establish CI/CD pipelines for platform components and applications. • Develop API integration, data extraction, transformation, and loading to Databricks DB SQL • Implement comprehensive DevSecOps practices, including regular security audits and vulnerability mitigation. • Establish robust observability solutions, implement disaster recovery and high availability designs to ensure platform reliability. • Manage identity and access management, implement security compliance measures including password/token rotations and key vault integration. • Implement Gateway connections for accessing on-premises sources, optimizing platform performance and cost-efficiency. • Participate in on-call rotations, demonstrate customer focus, and drive results in ambiguous project scenarios. • Implement Policy as Code and Compliance as Code to automate policy enforcement, ensure consistent governance, and compliance with industry standards & regulations. • Influence change, naturally accept ownership for project deliverables, explore opportunities to add value to job responsibilities • Self-starter with the ability to influence others, working in teams and independently with leader
