Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Senior) | Bixby Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer/ Developer to support our Bixby Software team in Seal Beach, CA. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced and Senior Software Engineers. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization working classified programs for the Experimental Systems Group (ESG). The Bixby Software team is dynamic group of software engineers supporting multiple efforts for ESG, all utilizing modern software technologies (Java, ReactJS, CI/CD pipelines) and methodologies (Scaled Agile). Position Responsibilities: • Reviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software products • Develops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrations • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products • Debugs and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products • Handles user inquiries, troubleshoots technical issues and user feedback analysis • Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development • Develops, establishes, monitors and improves software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks • Executes and documents software research and development projects • Advises on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations • Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards Security Clearance: This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor’s Degree or higher • 1+ years’ designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C# and/or Java • 1+ years’ experience working under a Linux/Unix environment • 1+ years of software development experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools • Experience in Agile methodologies Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Level 4 : 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience • Development experience using ReactJS • Experience in Java and associated frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot, WildFly, JPA, Maven • Experience with application DevOps tools, such as GitLab (CI/CD), Git Bash, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory • Experience in Java, React, C++ • Experience in Windows, Linux, and AWS environments • Experience in Windows based IDEs, Linux based IDEs, Maven, Git, Gitlab • Experience in AWS environments • Experience in using Agile methodologies, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, B
