US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the Role We are an early-stage, venture-backed AI infrastructure company building production-ready Kubernetes-based systems for GPU-intensive workloads. Our platform helps companies go from bare metal to fully operational AI clusters in days, and we're looking for a Java Developer to join our small, high-impact engineering team. What We're Looking For • Required: • Solid hands-on experience with Java development and the JVM ecosystem. • Familiarity with distributed systems concepts and cloud-native environments. • Experience working with or around Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), or related infrastructure tooling. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. • Clear communication skills — we are a small team and direct collaboration matters. • Nice to have: • Experience with GitOps workflows or tools (e.g., Flux, ArgoCD). • Exposure to GPU scheduling, ML infrastructure, or high-performance computing environments. • Familiarity with open-source contribution practices. • Experience in a startup or early-stage company setting.
