About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior Civil Designer to join our dynamic and growing team in Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Civil, you will play a key role in leading the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, mentoring junior team members, and driving high-quality design outcomes that exceed client expectations. Specifically: • Lead the design and documentation of civil engineering projects from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support. • Coordinate multidisciplinary project inputs to deliver integrated and innovative design solutions. • Prepare and review civil design models, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. • Collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and achieve desired outcomes. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business growth opportunities. • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to designers and engineers within the team. • Assist with resource planning and workload forecasting to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met. • Contribute to sustainable business growth through the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and commercially successful design solutions. • Manage project risks and apply sound technical and professional judgement throughout the design process. What This Role Offers • A collaborative and supportive work environment. • The opportunity to work on high-profile land development and infrastructure projects alongside industry-leading specialists. • Exposure to complex and technically challenging design projects. • Attractive salary package and benefits. • Ongoing personal and professional development, including opportunities for technical leadership and career progression.   • Extensive experience in civil design and documentation, ideally within land development, infrastructure, urban development, or subdivision projects. • Advanced proficiency in civil design software such as 12d Model, AutoCAD , and associated design tools. • Demonstrated ability to lead the design delivery of complex projects from concept through to detailed design. • Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards, local authority requirements, and engineering design principles. • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and collaborating with engineers, planners, surveyors, and other project stakeholders. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. • Proven ability to mentor and support junior designers and contribute to a positive team culture. • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage competing priorities while delivering quality outcomes. • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a passion for innovation and technical excellence.
